NCCC Competition Program
below is a brief outline of the competition program, for more information
please  contact a NCCC club or a member of a NCCC club.

Introduction

A unique breed of individuals is symbolic of the Corvette drivers.  The Corvette will transform even the meekest of men and women into competitors thirsting for challenge and striving for perfection so beautifully portrayed in the design and operation of their  machine.  A feeling of pride is every Corvette owner's reward.

In 1965 an NCCC Competition Sanction Program was initiated  devising rules for the several different competitive speed and non-speed events.  The competitive program has grown vastly since then.  Over 280 NCCC member clubs sponsor multiple events every weekend  nationwide.  There are speed events where the Corvette is driven hard, and a Concours where it is not.

Purpose

The purpose of the Sanctioned Competition Program is to encourage interactivity between individual Corvette Clubs within the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC).  The National Council of Corvette Clubs is operating the Sanctioned Competition Program to provide  uniform and fair standards under which competition events may be sponsored by individual Corvette Clubs.

The program depends entirely on voluntary participation by clubs  and individual club members.  This set of rules will be made available to every member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs.  The rules and regulations must be complied with in order for events to be  sanctioned by the National Council of Corvette Clubs.  Any local and regional rules that conflict with the rules will be null and void.

Sportsmanship

Participants should remember that National Council of Corvette Clubs events are sporting events to be conducted in a sporting spirit, that all events are organized and managed by amateurs who cheerfully give their time to do their best, that the competitors may expect some imperfections of the organizers  and of their fellow competitors.

Rewards and Recognition of Competition

We all like recognition for our accomplishments.  All NCCC  competitors earn points for each event entered.  Naturally first place in an event earns more points than fifth place.  The competition year starts on January 1 and ends on Dec 15.  Points earned during  the year accumulate.  At the end of the year individual awards are presented at both the National Level and the Regional Level.  In addition to the individual awards, clubs also receive recognition.  Club points are the combined total of the all members' points in a club.  National Awards are presented to the fifteen (15) women, men, and clubs at the Annual NCCC Convention.  The top 15 women and top 15 men usually receive a NCCC jacket and shirt.  The top 15 clubs receive a trophy or plaque.  Regions also awards trophies and plaques to region competitors.
